SUMMER PROGRAM 2011
Installation of Native Plant Gardens

With the financial support of the Mayor's Office of Employment Development and the Baltimore City Foundation, students from ACCE worked under the supervision of Jean Mellott, Landscape Designer, to remove invasive, non-native species of plants and install three gardens with plants native to the Mid-Atlantic.  The plants were specifically chosen to attract birds and pollinators. As part of this effort, the students created a plant manual for use by teachers at the school in their regular curriculum.
