Blue Water Baltimore
Ashley Traut, of Blue Water Baltimore, managed the depave project "Pavement to Prairie" that allowed ACCE to remove 3/4 of an acre of asphalt in the rear of the school. Blue Water Baltimore helped secure the funding, managed the engineering and permitting needed, supervised the actual removal of the asphalt and the plan for the restoration of the space. They partnered with the Vans Warped Tour to bring in over 80 volunteers to help break up the soil that had been compressed under 7 inches of asphalt for over 30 years. In addition, they created the rain garden space, which was then planted by the students at ACCE.
